Program Details

AKAYA’s Summer Internship Programme is aimed at supporting current university students in their personal and professional development. It is a 2.5 month paid internship programme commencing in mid July. Interns will not only be required to fulfil their specific roles and duties for AKAYA but will also partake in an intensive mentorship programme as well as collectively work together in proposing a social action project that could be invested in. 

Objectives
  • To build experience in the respective internship roles on offer, thus, ensuring career readiness through the practical skills, knowledge, and confidence gained.

  • To receive mentorship and guidance from experienced professionals in their respective fields. 

  • To provide an opportunity to contribute to AKAYA’s mission through meaningful project work.

  • To develop crucial personal and professional skills that will contribute to the next generation of female leaders.

Program Prerequisites

Eligibility Criteria
  • Female 

  • Student at a Ghanaian University

  • Must show FULL commitment to the entire duration of the programme

  • Keen on your personal and professional development as a future leader

  • Passionate about making a change in their community for women and girls!
