The Afrigirl Conference

The AfriGirl 2023 Conference (AG2023) took place in-person in Accra, Ghana on October 11th 2023, International Day of the Girl Child. Over 700 young women and girls were convened to celebrate this day.

 

Known to be one of the largest conferences for African girls and young women, the AfriGirl 2023 conference is co-created by the AKAYA Foundation and Muslimahs For Change Foundation, with the support of youth as well as various governing bodies and our sponsors.

Barriers were broken and challenges were addressed. Opportunities were given and the young women were indeed empowered; ready to go on to make a difference in their respective communities and beyond.
