Healing. Leadership. Power.
The Aya Initiative
The Aya Initiative is a powerful 7-month leadership and healing journey for young women in Ghana who have faced some of life’s harshest challenges, from early marriage and teenage pregnancy to gender-based violence, trauma, and mental health struggles.
Rooted in therapy, sisterhood, and purpose, Aya gives each girl the tools, support, and space to reclaim her voice and lead from a place of strength.
For girls who have

The Aya Initiative is supported by the KGL Foundation, whose dedication to youth empowerment and community impact has made this transformative programme possible. Their support enables us to provide therapy, mentorship, leadership training, and seed funding for community projects, giving girls the tools and confidence to heal, lead, and create lasting change.
